Ho Chi Minh City ‘s Annual Southern Fruit Festival to Kick-Off in June

The 13th annual Southern Fruit Festival will be held for three months this year from June 1st to August 30th, at Ho Chi Minh City’s Suoi Tien Culture Tourism Site (District 9).

This event, aimed at introducing and promoting fruit specialties from Vietnam’s South, is organized by multiple government departments, and is expected to attract over one million visitors this year.

A “giant fruit” parade, as well as a floating market of fruit and craft products will be among the main activities during this year’s festival. Over 50 beautifully-decorated kiosks are expected to sell over 150 kind of fruits at prices 20-40% lower than they would normally be sold at in local markets.

Between June 1st and June 11th, a street food festival, highlighting the latest street food trends from several Asian countries, will be a featured highlight of the fruit festival.
