annual Southern Fruit Festival will be held for three months this year from June 1st
to August 30th
, at Ho Chi Minh City’s Suoi Tien Culture Tourism Site (District 9).
Travelers to the renowned Vietnamese tourist destinations of Hoi An and Hue, who are arriving in nearby Danang on international flights, may now arrive at and depart from Terminal 2; Danang’s new $154 million international terminal.
The Hue Relics Preservation Center announced that the Imperial Citadel, Vietnam’s former capital, will be open to tourists from 7pm to 10pm starting April 22nd
During the weekend of March 24th
the city of Danang will commence the first umbrella art installation event named “Sunshine of March”.
As of February 1, 2017 passport holders of 40 countries, including the United States, are not required to arrange their tourist visas through a Vietnamese embassy or consulate, but can apply and pay for an electronic visa online.
Since 2008 Danang has been hosting the “International Fireworks Competition”; traditionally a 2-day event. This year, branded as the “International Fireworks Festival” (DIFF 2017), the event will take place in the bustling Central Vietnamese city for two months.
Following its success from 2016, Hoi An will once again attract food enthusiasts this March while it hosts the 2017 International Food Festival. From March 20th
, the city will showcase the cream of the crop of international cuisine.
After Hanoi and Saigon, Danang, the gateway to UNESCO World Heritage Site Hoi An, and the Imperial City Hue, is attracting visitors with its fine arts museum, which opened to the public last month.
