LIVING

The Four Seasons Tented Camp offers four different accommodation styles, three of which are tents and one a lodge. The superior, deluxe and superior river-view tents have a rustic yet elegant safari-style décor using local materials such as hardwood, bamboo and leather for customized, handcrafted furniture. Each tent has A full bath is incorporated into the living area; adjacent to this living area is an outdoor rain shower and its own distinctive color scheme. With views of Ruak River, Burma and the mountains of Laos; or the jungle and Golden Triangle each tent has its own unique feature. In the Superior Tent take comfort after a long day of adventure in your Bed swathed in a sheer white net and a private terrace. In the Deluxe Tent sink in to the customized wooden hot tub on your own outdoor deck. In the Superior River View Tent start your day with your drink of choice at the coffee table with a companion or unwind on the breezy outdoor deck on the lounger and savor serene the serene views.

The Two-bedroom Explorer’s Lodge is situated at the far end of the camp with complete privacy, overlooking the jungle. Channel your inner adventurer with our 19th-century–inspired interiors that embody the romance of a bygone era. Awaken to birdsong and share the sunset panorama with your loved ones as you look from the lamplit veranda. The unique features of the Explorer’s lodge are its hand-crafted copper bathtub and private deck with a tree-fringed infinity pool. The Explorer’s Lodge also features a private barbecue dinner and movie under the stars in the privacy of your lodge, arranged by the Four Seasons staff.

On the breezy pavilion of Nong Yao savor the finest of Thai, Loatian and Burmese cooking along with Western classics. Settle into an overstuffed leather couch and sip a cocktail while taking in the lush Ruak River basin and Elephant Camp views at Burma Bar. Daily wine tasting sessions are offered in the Wine Cellar, as well as private wine-pairing dinners. The thatched-roof interpretation of a wine cave offers an impressive collection of vintages.
